Angelique completed her 200hr YTT in through Vinyasa Yoga School in Rishikesh, India and is excited to continue to share her love of yoga with the community. She specializes in Vinyasa and Hatha styles, and loves to bring aspects of mindfulness and meditation into her yoga practice.
When she’s not teaching yoga, Angelique is out on her paddleboard, hiking, or just enjoying the beautiful outdoors. She is excited to bring her knowledge and experiences to each class, and is thrilled to continue learning from her students and fellow teachers.
Angelique teaches Vinyasa Flow at The Yoga Hut on Thursday nights, and is also available for private and small-group lessons. Private lessons vary depending on student needs and requests, and can range from Restorative to Power Yoga. Angelique incorporates breath-work, meditation, and Reiki into her yoga practice, and any of these are available upon request for private lessons.
Vinyasa can be translated as “arranging something in a special way.” This style class encourages students to coordinate movement with breath, to flow from one pose to the next. This class is faster-paced than some other styles of yoga, but it always modifiable for all-levels. Vinyasa Flow focuses on linking the breath to movement, while building strength and flexibility in a variety of postures. Breath-work (Pranayama) and meditation are also commonly used at the beginning and end of class, to help students center and bring their focus inward for practice on and off the mat.
